El objetivo de este artículo es habilitar un método de conexión segura y, al mismo tiempo, deshabilitar un método inseguro de conexión remota, Telnet, en switches Force10 serie S.

Para habilitar SSH, deshabilitado de manera predeterminada, y para deshabilitar Telnet, habilitado de manera predeterminada, realice los siguientes pasos:
  1. Habilite SSH en la CLI mediante una consola o una conexión Telnet para guardar la configuración.

Dell(conf)#crypto key generate

SSH server                : enabled.
SSH server version        : v1 and v2.

RSA       Authentication  : disabled.
Vty       Encryption      Remote IP

Dell#copy running-config startup-config
              
File with same name already exist.
Proceed to copy the file [confirm yes/no]: y
  1. Pruebe el acceso remoto mediante SSH.
    1. Abra un programa de emulación de terminal, como PuTTY.
    2. Ingrese la dirección IP del conmutador en el cuadro correspondiente
    3. Establezca el tipo de conexión en SSH
    4. Haga clic en Abrir
    5. Inicie sesión en el switch mediante la CLI
PRECAUCIÓN: Si no se prueba un inicio de sesión correcto mediante SSH antes de deshabilitar Telnet, se podría perder el acceso remoto al switch.
 
  1. Deshabilite Telnet y guarde la configuración mediante un SSH de sesión de Putty en la CLI.
