Tämän artikkelin tarkoituksena on ottaa käyttöön suojattu yhteysmenetelmä ja poistaa turvaton etäyhteysmenetelmä Telnet käytöstä Force10 S-Series -kytkimissä.

Ota käyttöön oletusarvoisesti käytöstä poistettu SSH ja oletusarvoisesti käytössä oleva Telnet seuraavasti:
  1. Ota SSH käyttöön komentoriviliittymässä käyttämällä konsoli- tai Telnet-yhteyttä ja tallenna määritykset.

Dell(conf)#crypto key generate
Dell(conf)#exit
Dell#show ip ssh
 
SSH server                : enabled.
SSH server version        : v1 and v2.
Password Authentication   : enabled.
Hostbased Authentication  : disabled.
RSA       Authentication  : disabled.
Vty       Encryption      Remote IP
 
Dell(conf)#exit
Dell#copy running-config startup-config
              
File with same name already exist.
Proceed to copy the file [confirm yes/no]: y
  1. Testaa etäkäyttöä SSH:n avulla.
    1. Avaa pääte-emulaattoriohjelma, kuten Putty
    2. Kirjoita kytkimen IP-osoite vastaavaan ruutuun
    3. Määritä yhteystyypiksi SSH
    4. Valitse Open (Avaa)
    5. Kirjaudu kytkimeen komentoriviliittymällä
VAROITUS: Jos onnistunutta SSH-kirjautumista ei testata ennen Telnetin poistamista käytöstä, kytkimen etäyhteys voidaan menettää.
 
  1. Poista Telnet käytöstä ja tallenna määritykset käyttämällä Putty-istunnon SSH-komentoa.
