The CTRL+ALT+S hotkey is used on a Dell Pro 5 Micro P5M1260 in the BIOS to display or hide Service Setup options. The CTRL+ALT+S hotkey does not display or hide the Service Setup options in the BIOS when connecting to a Dell Pro 5 Micro P5M1260 using Serial over LAN (SOL).

Cause

SOL does not support multi-key inputs such as CTRL+ALT+S. This is a limitation of SOL.

Resolution

Enable service mode items from the computer locally and then connect using SOL.
