Running Auto Connect Command in Dell Display and Peripheral Manager 2.0.0 for Mac Fails

How to reproduce:
Run NetworkKVMAutoConnect as a standard user (su).
- Two computers are connected to the monitor
- Both computers are connected to same network
- Open Terminal, type:
su xxxxx
Note: xxxxx = standard user - Type the command to set auto connect in Network KVM:
./DDPM /NetworkKVMAutoConnect on
Result: Auto connect is not activated.
Cause
The auto connect command was not run with system administrator privileges.
Resolution
The users should run the auto connect command as a sudo user, and then the command work.
- Two computers are connected to the monitor
- Both computers are connected to same network
- Open Terminal, type:
sudo xxxxx
Note: xxxxx = system administrator username - Type the command to set auto connect in Network KVM:
./DDPM /NetworkKVMAutoConnect on
Result: Auto connect is activated.
The resolution also applies to the following commands:
./DDPM /NetworkKVMAutoConnect off ./DDPM /NetworkKVMContentTransfer on ./DDPM /NetworkKVMContentTransfer off ./DDPM /NetworkKVM on ./DDPM /NetworkKVM off ./DDPM /NetworkKVM enable ./DDPM /NetworkKVM disable
