PowerProtect: OpenShift Backup Fails with Error cproxy Already Exists

Symptoms
PowerProtect Data Manager protection job fails with an error message similar to the following:
Error: Unable to backup PersistentVolumeClaims. PVC backup returned with an error: Unable to backup PVC 'XXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXX-1'. Unable to create Pod 'XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS-XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXX-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS-cproxy': pods "XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS-XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXX-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS-cproxy" already exists Unable to backup PVC 'XXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XXXX-1': Unable to create pod in safeguard limit of 10 minutes.
This issue occurs when the following conditions are met:
- There are multiple PVCs that have the same first 40 characters in their names.
- Parallel processing of multiple PVCs is enabled.
- PowerProtect Data Manager version 19.17.0-10 and earlier is in use.
Cause
This is a software defect.
Resolution
This issue is addressed in the PowerProtect Data Manager version 19.17.0-18.
