PowerFlex 4.x: How to Change SVM OS Password From PFMP

If PFMP does not have the correct password and the Customer has lost it too, then password recovery is needed PowerFlex 4.x How to Reset or Recover an MVM or SVM Lost Password
Steps:

Create new resource credentials with the new password from settings.
Go to PFMP UI => Settings => Security => Resource Credentials.
Credential Type: OS Admin

Create a new resource Credentials.
Note: Do not edit the old credentials having the correct password instead, create a new one with the new password, PFMP must have both the old correct password and the new password, each in a separate credential entry.

Choose OS Admin in Credential Type, enter a new Credential Name, a new Password and click Save.
You should find a new entry created for the new credential and assigned to Zero Resources.

Assign the new Resource Credentials to the SVM Nodes.
Go to Resources => Select the nodes having SVMs to be changed => Click Update Password.
If needed, use the filter to enter a keyword that is unique for the SVM node names to easily list them. -
Check the SVM Operating System Password and click Next.

From the Select drop-down menu, select the resource credential you created in step 3 and click Finish.

Alternatively, instead of Steps 1 to 3, you can create a new resource credential from the + sign.

Update the PFMC Resource Group (RG) with the new SVM password
Go to Lifecycle => Resource Groups => Click the Hyperlink name of the RG hosting the SVMs to View Details of this RG.

Verify the RG name to ensure that it matches the correct RG hosting the SVM nodes, and then click More Actions > Update Resource Group Details.

In the SVMs Section, change the Credentials to the new one created in Step 3.
The SVM section appears only if you selected the correct hosts running SVMs.

After testing the new Credentials, you may delete the old one.
Go to Settings => Security => Resource Credentials => Select the old SVM OS Credentials => click Remove.
