This article provides the steps to locate and identify the Secureworks Taegis XDR agent version.

The process to identify the Secureworks Taegis XDR agent version differs between Windows and Linux. Click the appropriate operating system for more information.

Windows

  1. As an administrator, right-click the Windows start menu and then click Run.
  2. In the Run UI, type cmd and then press Enter.

  3. Type cd "<PATH>" and then press Enter.

    • <PATH> = The Secureworks Taegis XDR setup folder
    • By default, the setup folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell SecureWorks\Red Cloak.
  4. Type redcloak.exe --check and then press Enter.

  5. Command Prompt outputs information similar to the below example output. The installed version displays in the [INFO] Version: output. If errors are seen or there is not a [SUCCESS] message at the end, contact Dell Support.

Linux

  1. Open Terminal.

  2. Type /opt/secureworks/redcloak/bin/redcloak -–check and then press Enter to verify the agent version. The installed version displays in the [INFO] Version: output.
