Symptoms

Intermittent sound may come out from the laptop’s integrated speaker. The issue occurs when playing or pausing music, or switching an audio output endpoint that is connected with an external audio device such as a monitor with speaker support.

Cause

Improper registration sequence in the pause or resume use case caused a glitch at output.

Resolution

Updating to Qualcomm Audio driver version 1.0.4092.6300, A05 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the driver, refer to How to Download and Install Dell Drivers and Firmware.
