Symptoms

  • MySQL backup fails with
nsrsqlsv: Write failed 995(The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.)
  • Client initiated and filesystem backups are working fine for the same client.

Cause

The MySQL library is linked with NetWorker, but the linked library is from an older version.

Resolution

Remove the link and perform linking again.

 

ln -s /usr/lib64/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.21 /usr/lib64/libmysqlclient.so
ln -s /usr/lib64/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.21 /usr/lib/nsr/apps/lib64/libmysqlclient.so
