Cause

This has to do with how the OS handles access for integrated administrative accounts.

Resolution

To address this issue, you must enable the User Account Control: Admin Approval mode for the integrated Administrators Account using Group Policy Object

  1. Open Powershell as Administrator and run gpedit.msc

  1. Go to:

Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Security Options and double-click User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the integrated Administrator account and Enable it:

  1. Restart the server to apply changes and now you can change the adapter settings from the Settings App.
