No Wake-on-LAN with third-party docks such as Gamber-Johnson or Precision Mounting Technologies

 

Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet owners cannot use Wake-on-LAN to resume from hibernation when connected to one of the following third-party docks:

  • Gamber-Johnson Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet Vehicle Docking Station, Lite Port (item number: 7160-1882-00)
  • Gamber-Johnson Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet Vehicle Docking Station, Full Port (item number: 7160-1882-10)
  • Gamber-Johnson Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet and Keyboard Vehicle Cradle (No Electronics) (item number: 7160-1884-00)
  • Precision Mounting Technologies Docking Station for Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet Full Port (item number: AS7.D922.110)
  • Precision Mounting Technologies Docking Station for Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet Full Port with Power Adapter (item number: AS7.D922.110-PS)

Microsoft and Windows 11 do not support Wake-on-LAN on a USB 2.0 hub.

This is the expected behavior for these docks. All the listed Gamber-Johnson and PMT docks use a USB 2.0 hub. Any mobile device running the Windows operating system when connected to a dock using a USB 2.0 hub experiences this problem.
