Symptômes

No PPDM, ao tentar executar uma detecção de um ativo do Microsoft SQL Server, a detecção pode falhar com os seguintes erros: 
ADA0002: Unable to discover ASSETS on host  because of an agent issue.
Unable to perform applications discovery because agent failed to create the discovery session.
Ou 
ASDS0018: Discovery of Assets failed on the host  for AddOn MICROSOFT_SQL_DATABASE_SYSTEM.

No registro DPSApps\AgentService\logs\OpAgentSvc*, o seguinte erro é registrado: 
ErrCode: -2147467259, Error: SSL Provider: The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.

Cause

A falha é causada porque a "Forçar criptografia de protocolo" está habilitada na configuração do SQL Native Client no SQL Server Configuration Manager.

Résolution

Para resolver o problema, siga as etapas abaixo:

  1. Abra o SQL Server Configuration Manager
  2. Clique com o botão direito do mouse em SQL Native Client 11.0 Configuration (Configuração do SQL Native Client 11.0) e selecione Properties (Propriedades).
  3. Defina o valor Force Protocol Encryption como No e selecione OK.
  4. Execute as mesmas etapas para a configuração do SQL Native Client 11.0 (32 bits)
  5. Reinicialize o SQL Server
  6. Depois que o SQL Server estiver ativo e em execução, execute Discovery a partir da interface do usuário do PPDM.

Às vezes, pode ser necessário cancelar o registro ou desinstalar o Agent e reinstalar para que a detecção funcione.
