Symptômes
Creating an NSR tunnel failed with error:
create failed: 'proxy address' < IP address> does not resolve to a valid hostnameThe tunnel IP does not exist in the DNS. They are all defined in /etc/hosts.
Cause
The tunneling feature requires reverse lookup in order to work, but on later NetWorker versions (19.7.x and up) reverse lookup was disabled in the code as a security measure.
Résolution
To override the default behavior, create a flag "/nsr/debug/enable_rdns_lookup" on all involved hosts, that is, NetWorker server, tunnel node/proxy and NetWorker client. Restart the NetWorker service for the changes to take effect.
NOTE: For tunnel IPs that are only present in /etc/hosts, ensure that the hosts table is read first in /etc/nsswitch.conf.
