There can be multiple causes of this error:
- The network card driver must be unloaded and reloaded.
- A memory allocation issue occurs in one of the file system layers.
- The network card may be defective.
- Older Data Domain models using Cyber Recovery may not have enough memory installed.
Oppløsning
- Reboot the Data Domain system. If the issue persists, continue to step 2.
- Drain flea power from the Data Domain system:
- Power the Data Domain system down gracefully.
- Disconnect the server from all power and network cables.
- Hold down the power button continuously for at least ten seconds.
- Insert power and network cables back into the system.
- Wait two minutes before powering on the server to give the iDRAC time to initialize.
- Power the system on.
- Engineering recommends that older Data Domain systems be rebooted approximately every 3 months. This helps to prevent Ethernet driver allocation failure due to memory fragmentation.
- If the issue persists, contact Data Domain support.
