When trying to launch the NMM SSMS UI from within the SQL Management Studio add-in app, the following error message appears: 
Current user does not have required permissions to run backup and restore operations. Relaunch the application with a user that has local administrative privileges.

Elevated permissions are required to launch NMM SSMS UI from SQL Server Management Studio using add-in app.

Rozwiązanie

  1. Close SQL Server Management Studio if it is open.
  2. Right-click the SQL Server Management Studio icon and choose run-as Administrator.
  3. Launch NMM SSMS UI by clicking on NMM SSMS UI add-in icon.
