Podsumowanie: The instructions below will guide you through each step of installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux and creating a manual custom storage partition.
Instrukcje
Mounted the ISO and boot the system from the ISO image of the operating system to start the Red Hat Linux Operating System installation.
As shown below, we created two virtual drives on this PowerEdge server.
Choose the appropriate installation destination like that is displayed below.
By default, Automatic Partition is selected; however, if a custom partition is required, choose Storage Configuration - Custom and then click Done to configure the partition manually.
Next, select the + button to specify the custom manual partition's mount point.
After creating the custom partition, check the partition that you opted for, then click Accept Changes to confirm.
Set up the Network and Host Name (Note: After installing the operating system, we may also configure network settings and set up the hostname.)
After that, set the root password and create one user. Click Begin Installation once done.
Installation has started… After completing, click Reboot System.
We made sure the system booted into the freshly installed operating system and that the partition displayed as we manually created.
