Avamar: Simple Network Management Protocol Daemon (SNMPd) Fails to Start

There is a kernel error reported in the UI.

The event can be found using the following command in the CLI:

In the messages log (/var/log/messages), it shows that the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) daemon failed to start, but restarted successfully within milliseconds:

The daemon fails to start then restarts successfully within milliseconds. This is considered acceptable behavior on a Linux system.

If the daemon does not restart successfully, Create a Service Request to get assistance troubleshooting the issue.

The event can be acknowledged and disregarded as the daemon is running.
