Dell Core Services (DCS)

DCS is an aggregating installer package providing the comprehensive ecosystem of system level agents providing centrally managed core services for Dell software.

Once installed, DCS provides foundational functionality to Dell software with:

• Dell Tech Hub: It is a central communication ecosystem that unifies Dell agents without sacrificing process demarcation. It allows for module connectivity, security, and communication. It enables all the core services to share capabilities with other agents in the ecosystem at run time without any static dependencies.
• Device Manager: It provides for the secure identification and registration of systems. This provides secure communications between services, applications and your consented telemetry.
• Notification Manager: It provides for centrally managed consistent communications and notifications between Dell applications and the Windows notification center.
• Policy Manager: It provides for centrally managed secure policy administration for configuring and securing Dell applications.
• Update Service: It allows for auto update capabilities for any subscriber application. It is the core component that enables the ability to update system software that Dell releases.
• Dell Telemetry Management: It includes data collection, management, and analytics for most Dell applications. You can choose to allow it to include select telemetry transmissions to provide input on product improvements.
