Summary: In a CloudLink Cluster (CLC), the Secondary CLC member shows an incorrect Network Time Protocol (NTP) after the upgrade using the Backup and Restore method. Hardware Compatibility List

Acest articol se aplică pentru Acest articol nu se aplică pentru Acest articol nu este legat de un produs specific. Acest articol nu acoperă toate versiunile de produs existente.

Symptoms

  • PowerFlex Management Platform (PFMP) upgrade on an HCI Resource Group with encryption (CloudLink).
  • CLC upgrade to version 8.1.2 using the Backup and Restore method.
  • Secondary CLC member shows different NTP IPs.

Impact: Time may become unsynchronized if the machine cannot access the default NTP servers that replace the original NTP server before the upgrade.

Cause

The backup.sh script has node-specific NTP configuration that is only restored on the Primary CLC member. It does not synchronize the NTP configuration across the other members, as NTP configuration is not stored in the CLC database.

Resolution

Manually update the NTP server IP/s on the Secondary CLC member right after the upgrade is completed.

Produse afectate
