XtremIO: Så här flyttas ett XtremIO-kluster med inbyggd replikering till en annan XMS

Sammanfattning: Ibland är det nödvändigt att flytta ett XtremIO-kluster från ett XMS till ett annat. Vanligtvis är den här åtgärden enkel och utförs genom att ta bort klustret från det aktuella XMS-systemet och lägga till det i ett nytt XMS med hjälp av XMCLI-kommandon.   • Initial XtremIO Native Replication-källa XMS och kluster: vxms-xbrickdrm918/xbrickdrm918
  • Initialt XtremIO inbyggt replikeringsmål XMS och kluster: vxms-xbrickdrm919/xbrickdrm919
  • Nytt XMS-system: vxms-xbrickdrm912
  1. Målet med proceduren
Målet i vårt exempel är att flytta XtremIO-källklustret xbrickdrm918från vxms-xbrickdrm918 till vxms-xbrickdrm912.
  1. Procedur

Följande är den process som ska följas för att flytta XtremIO-kluster med inbyggd replikering till ett annat XMS.

  1. Kontrollera den befintliga replikeringskonfigurationen och statusen.

Lägg till den nya XMS i fjärrskyddsdomänen för det lokala XMS-systemet. I det här exemplet lägger vi till vxms-xbrickdrm912 till vxms-xbrickdrm919.

  1. Ta bort klustret från befintligt XMS.
I det här fallet tar vi bort klustret xbrickdrm918 från vxms-xbrickdrm918 XMS.

  1. Ta bort den ursprungliga XMS-filen från replikeringsdomänen. 

I det här exemplet tar vi bort den ursprungliga vxms-xbrickdrm918 XMS från XMS på fjärrskyddsdomänen vxms-xbrickdrm919 .

xmcli (admin)> remove-remote-protection-peer-xms xms-alias-name="vxms-xbrickdrm918"

  1. Lägg till kluster till nytt XMS.

Vi använder följande kommando för att lägga till xbrickdrm918-kluster i vxms-xbrickdrm912 XMS.
