How to Enable or Disable Secure Boot for Wyse Thin Clients

Affected Platforms:
- Wyse 3040 Thin Client
- Wyse 5070 Thin Client
- Wyse 5470 Thin Client
- Wyse 5470 All-in-One Thin Client
An administrator may either Enable or Disable secure boot for Wyse thin clients. For more information, select the appropriate process.
Enable
To enable secure boot:
- Power on the thin client and then press F12 when prompted to access the boot menu.
- Select BIOS Setup.

- Select Unlock.
< - Populate the BIOS administrative Password and select OK.
Note: The default BIOS administrative password isFireport. The BIOS administrative password in your environment may differ. - Expand Secure Boot and then select Secure Boot Enable.

- Verify Secure Boot Enabled is selected.

- Select Apply.

- Optionally select Save as Custom User Settings, then click OK.

- Select Exit.

Disable
To disable secure boot:
- Power on the thin client and then press F12 when prompted to access the boot menu.
- Select BIOS Setup.

- Select Unlock.

- Populate the BIOS administrative Password and select OK.
Note: The default BIOS administrative password isFireport. The BIOS administrative password in your environment may differ. - Expand Secure Boot and then select Secure Boot Enable.

- Verify that the Secure Boot Enabled selection is cleared.

- Select Yes.

- Select Apply.

- Optionally select Save as Custom User Settings, then click OK.

- Select Exit.
