What is Foxit PDF Editor?

Foxit PDF Editor and Foxit PDF Editor Pro allows you to create, review, edit, manage, share, and secure PDF documents. Foxit PDF Editor can be purchased when ordering a new Dell Windows computer.

How do I download Foxit PDF Editor?

Note: Before downloading and installing Foxit PDF Editor, you must log in to Windows with an account with administrator privileges.

Using Dell Optimizer (All Dell products except Alienware):

Use the Purchased Apps module in Dell Optimizer to download Foxit PDF Editor.

Installing and Activating Foxit PDF Editor via Dell Digital Delivery
  1. Open Dell Digital Delivery
    • Go to the Windows Start Menu, locate Dell Digital Delivery, and click to open it.
      Note: If Dell Digital Delivery is missing, refer to: How to Download and Install Dell Digital Delivery
      The Dell Digital Delivery icon may vary depending on the version installed.
  2. Download Foxit PDF Editor
    • In Dell Digital Delivery, click the Available tab.
    • Find Foxit PDF Editor or Foxit PDF Editor Pro, then click Download.
      Note: If Foxit PDF Editor is not listed, it may be due to connectivity issues or the software not being linked to your Dell account.
  3. Installation
    • Dell Digital Delivery will automatically download and install the software.
  4. Launch and Activate
    • Once installed, double-click the Foxit PDF Editor desktop shortcut to launch the application.
    • On launch, Confirm the Perpetual License number and click Activate.
    • Enter the user’s name, then click Activate.
    • After activation, click OK.
  5. Configure Default PDF Viewer
    • Choose whether to set Foxit PDF Editor as your default PDF viewer.
  6. Update
    • Foxit will automatically download and install the latest updates after configuration.
