camera roll issues

If you are having camera roll issues, for example, automatic camera upload is not working, not all photos are uploaded, take the following steps to help fix the problem:

  1. Check your Wi-Fi connectivity; ensure that the mobile OneDrive settings for camera upload on metered connections are not switched off.
  2. Disable camera upload in OneDrive app settings.
  3. Go to www.onedrive.live.com This hyperlink is taking you to a website outside of Dell Technologies. and rename your Camera Roll folder.
  4. Enable camera upload to start the reuploading of all camera roll photos from your mobile device into the cloud.
Note: OneDrive cannot upload photos optimized for iCloud. To disable optimization, tap Settings > iCloud > Photos, then clear Optimize Storage.

camera upload takes too long

If it takes a while to look for photos or do camera uploads but there is no error message, it might be as you have too many figures on your camera roll. The delay may also be caused by facial recognition and location data settings in your photos. To resolve this, do the following:

  1. Reduce the number of photos in your camera roll; move some of your photos to another folder.
  2. Turn off optimized storage in iOS photo and figure settings.
  3. Leave OneDrive running overnight to finish uploading.
Note: For large amounts of data, especially if you also connect to iCloud, the upload process may take longer. Refrain from signing out or reinstalling the app currently as it will only cause the process to restart.

out of storage

A file will not upload if it does not fit into your available OneDrive storage space. To see how space you have remaining or get more storage, tap Menu Settings and then tap your account name to see your total storage and space available. 2. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons simultaneously for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. This does a soft-reset of the phone.
  3. Reinstall the OneDrive app from the App Store.
  4. Make sure that OneDrive is kept up to date by enabling it in your device's Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
Note: You may find that enabling location services for OneDrive helps, especially if it is during background sync. You can turn Location Services on or off at Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
