Affected Products:
- Alienware 32 4K QD OLED Gaming Monitor AW3225QF
- Alienware 27 4K Dual-Resolution Gaming Monitor AW2725QF
- Ensure that the monitor firmware is updated to the latest version.
- Use a High-Speed HDMI cable to connect the Alienware monitor to the soundbar.
Note:
- If the soundbar supports ARC only, an HDMI 2.0 or above cable is required.
- If the soundbar supports eARC, an HDMI 2.1 cable is required.
- Some soundbars come with an HDMI cable in the box. Ensure the HDMI cable meets the requirements stated above.
- The HDMI cable that comes in the Alienware monitor box is a High-Speed HDMI 2.1 cable.
- Some soundbars have more than one HDMI port. Ensure the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI port that supports ARC/eARC.
Note: Some soundbars do not have the words ARC/eARC printed next to the HDMI port. Check the documentation to identify the correct port.
- Ensure the HDMI cable is connected to HDMI (eARC/ARC) port of the Alienware monitor (check the monitor documentation to identify the correct port).
- Ensure that HDMI CEC is turned on in the OSD:
- Open the OSD and go to Others > HDMI CEC.
