說明
In the Dell Virtual Storage Integrator (VSI) for VMware vSphere Client the Effective Capacity shows Metrics:
- Used by VMWare which is calculated by the sum of the PowerMax volume & file system capacity consumed by VMware Datastores (like VMFS, NFS, etc.) and VMs.
Used by VMware = Total Effective Used Capacity by VMware Resources/Total Effective Used Capacity
In the screenshot below this is 0.9% (rounded) = .07 TB (70GB) / 7.7 TB (7884.8 GB) x100
(7.7 TB×1024 GB/TB=7884.8 GB)
- Used by Non VMWare = represents the capacity NOT used by VMware = Total Effective Used Capacity - Used by VMWare.
In the screenshot below this is 7.7 TB - 0.1 TB (70GB) = 7.6 (ROUNDED 7.67)

The Effective used metric in the Data Savings section shows the combined Effective Used capacity of “Used by VMWare” and “Used by Non VMWare”.
