Removing the system fan

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
    2. front bezel
    3. hard drive
    4. optical drive
  3. To remove the system fan:
    1. Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board [1].
    2. Slide the fan grommets toward the slot on the back wall [2].
    3. Lift the fan away from the computer [3].
