Removing touchpad

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. microSD card

    2. base cover

    3. battery

    4. speaker

  3. To remove the touchpad cable:
    1. Lift the latch, and disconnect the touchpad cable from the computer [1].
    2. Remove the touchpad cable [2].

  4. Remove the screws (M2.0x3.0, M.2.0x2.0) that secure the metal bracket to the touchpad on the computer.
    • NOTE: Remove the adhesive tape that secures the speaker cable on the metal bracket.

  5. To remove metal bracket:
    1. Remove the adhesive tape [1, 2].
    2. Lift the metal bracket [3].
