This guide describes the high-level design of PowerFlex appliance.
The target audience for this document includes customers, sales engineers, field consultants, and advanced services specialists who want to deploy a high-performance, scalable, and flexible infrastructure using PowerFlex appliance.
PowerFlex appliance is a fully engineered rack-scale system with integrated networking and professional white glove deployment and single call support. PowerFlex appliance serves as highly scalable and high performance infrastructure building block for modern and cloud native data center workloads. PowerFlex appliance architecture is based on Dell PowerEdge servers; Cisco Nexus switches, or Dell PowerSwitch switches, and PowerFlex software-defined storage. PowerFlex Manager provides the management and orchestration functionality for PowerFlex appliance.
This Dell Technologies product uses an embedded Linux distribution that is licensed to Dell. This embedded Linux is only authorized to be used to operate the Dell product and only the Dell product.
