Removing touch display panel

NOTE: The touch display panel removal procedure is applicable only for systems with touch display configuration.
  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
  4. Remove the WLAN card.
  5. Remove the WWAN card.
  6. Remove the display assembly.
  7. To remove the touch display panel:
    1. Use a plastic scribe to loosen the edges of the display panel.

    2. Flip the display screen over from the top.
    3. Peel the adhesive tape [1], Mylar shield [2].
    4. Release the latch [3], and disconnect the eDP cable [4].
    5. Peel the adhesive tape [5], and disconnect the IR cable [6].

  8. Remove the display bezel from the display assembly.
