Removing the M.2 SSD

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the microSD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.

Steps

  1. Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the M.2 SSD support bracket to the palmrest [1].
  2. Slightly turn and remove the SSD support bracket from the M.2 SSD slot [2].

  3. Remove the single (M2x2) screw that secures the M.2 SSD to the palmrest [1].
  4. Lift the M.2 SSD away from the computer [2].
