Removing the hard drive from the hard drive bracket

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. hard drive assembly

  3. Pull the hard drive cable to remove it from the connector. Figure displaying how to remove the hard drive cable from the connector.
  4. Remove the screws that secure the hard drive bracket to the hard drive [1] and lift the hard drive from the hard drive bracket [2]. Figure displaying how to remove the hard drive bracket from the hard drive.
