Removing the Display Hinge

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
    3. keyboard trim
    4. keyboard
  3. Remove the screws that secure the display hinge at the back of the computer. Figure displaying the removal of screws that secure the display hinge.
  4. Remove the screws that secure the display hinge at the front of the computer. Press and remove the display hinge from the computer. Figure displaying how to remove the display hinge from the computer.
