Cisco Jabber Softphone for VDI enables you to make and receive calls using the Cisco Unified Communications application. Cisco Jabber Softphone for VDI consists of the following two components:
Cisco JVDI Agent
Cisco JVDI Client
Cisco JVDI Agent is the JVDI connector that runs on the Citrix desktop or server. Cisco JVDI client is the JVDI package that runs on the thin client. The Jabber client that runs on the Citrix server handles the authentication and the media processing is achieved on the thin client.
The JVDI PKG uses a major portion of the disk on platforms with low disk space. If you install JVDI PKG on thin clients with low disk space, other large PKGs may fail to extract and install. For example, you cannot install JVDI PKG, Horizon, and RTME PKG together on Wyse 5010 Thin Client. However, you can install the following PKGs together on Wyse 5010 and Wyse 5040 thin clients:
RTME, FR, and JVDI
RTME, TCX, FR, and Horizon
This issue is not observed on thin clients with more disk space.
