Removal
Base Cover
Align the system with the outline to enable the AR lock.
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the cover to the system.
Slide the cover toward the back of the system and lift to remove.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Lift the tabs to release the front bezel from the system.
Slightly lift system to remove the front bezel from the system.
Hard drive assembly
Identify the hard drive assembly highlighted in blue.
Slide the release tab to unlock the hard drive and optical assembly.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the connectors.
Holding the release tab, disconnect the optical drive data and power cables.
Slide and lift the hard drive and optical drive assembly from the system.
Power Switch
Identify the power switch highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the power switch cable from the system board.
Press the power switch retention tabs to release the power switch.
Remove the power switch from the system.
Install
Power Switch
Identify the power switch location highlighted in blue.
Slide the power switch into the slot on the system until it clicks into place.
Connect the power switch cable to the connector on the system board.
Hard drive assembly
Identify the hard drive assembly location highlighted in blue.
Install the hard drive and optical drive assembly into the slot on the system.
Connect the data and power cables onto the optical drive.
Connect the data and power cable on the hard drive and optical assembly.
Slide the tab to lock the hard drive assembly.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
Slightly lift system to insert the tabs on the bezel into the slots on the system.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Install the cover on the system. Slide forward until it clicks into place.
Tighten the captive screws to secure the cover.
