How to replace the Front Cover on a Dell Tower ECT 1250

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Front Cover and a Dell Tower ECT 1250. The procedure will also include removing the Left Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Left Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.

Slide and lift the side cover from the chassis.

Front Cover

Identify the front cover highlighted in blue.

Pry and release the tabs that secure the front cover to the chassis.

Rotate the front cover outward and lift it from the chassis.

Install

Front Cover

Identify the front cover location highlighted in blue.

Align and insert the front cover tabs into the slots on the right side of the chassis.

Rotate the front cover toward the chassis and press it into place.

Left Side Cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Align and slide the left side cover onto the chassis.

Tighten the screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
