<p>Removal</p><p><br></p><p>Base Cover</p><p>Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.</p><p>Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover to the system.</p><p>Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the system.</p><p>Using a plastic scribe, pry the basecover from bottom left and continue on the sides to loosen.</p><p>Slide and lift the base cover off the system.</p><p><br></p><p>Battery Cable</p><p>Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.</p><p>Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.</p><p>Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.</p><p><br></p><p>Battery</p><p>Identify the battery highlighted in blue.</p><p>Remove the screws that secure the battery to the system.</p><p>Remove the screws that secure the battery to the system.</p><p>Lift the battery to remove from the system.</p><p><br></p><p>Touchpad</p><p>Identify the touchpad highlighted in blue.</p><p>Lift the latch and disconnect the main control unit cable from the system board.</p><p>Lift the latch and disconnect the touchpad cable from the touchpad.</p><p>Remove the screws that secure the touchpad dome bracket to the system.</p><p>Lift the touchpad dome bracket off the system.</p><p>Remove the screws that secure the touchpad bracket to the system.</p><p>Lift the two touchpad brackets off the system.</p><p>Remove the screws that secure the touchpad to the system.</p><p>Slide and lift the touchpad from the system.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Install</p><p><br></p><p>Touchpad</p><p>Identify the touchpad panel location highlighted in blue.</p><p>Slide and install the touchpad into the slot on the system.</p><p>Install the screws that secure the touchpad to the system.</p><p>Align and place the two touchpad brackets to the system.</p><p>Install the screws that secure the touchpad brackets to the system.</p><p>Align and place the touchpad dome bracket to the system.</p><p>Install the screws that secure the touchpad dome bracket to the system.</p><p>Connect the touchpad cable to the touchpad.
