How to replace the Memory module on a Dell Tower Plus EBT2250

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Memory module and a Dell Tower Plus EBT2250. The procedure will also include removing the Left side cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Left side cover

Identify the left side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the captive screw that secures the left side cover latch to the chassis.

Pull on the left side cover latch to release the left side cover from the chassis.

Remove and lift the left side cover from the chassis.

Memory module

Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.

Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.

Remove the memory module from the memory module slot.

Install

Memory module

Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.

Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.

Left side cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Slide the bottom edge of the left side cover into the chassis.

Push the left side cover into place.

Tighten the captive screw that secures the left side cover latch to the chassis.
