Installing the system board

Steps

  1. Place the system board to align with the connectors.
  2. Tighten the screws that secure the system board to the computer chassis.
  3. Tighten the epoxy screws that secure the video connector latch door.
  4. Close the video connector latch door.
  5. Flip the computer chassis and connect the ribbon cables to the system board.
  6. Connect the following cables to the system board:
    1. LED cable
    2. coin cell battery cable
    3. speaker cable
    4. power connector cable
    5. touch pad cable
  7. Install:
    1. display cable
    2. keyboard
    3. SIM board
    4. battery connector
    5. heatsink
    6. WWAN
    7. WLAN
    8. battery cable
    9. memory module
    10. antenna routing bracket
    11. card bracket
    12. hard drive
    13. MEMS board
    14. USH board
    15. dock board
    16. base cover
    17. battery
  8. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your computer.
