Removing touch display panel
NOTE: The touch display panel removal procedure is applicable only for systems with touch display configuration.
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
- Remove the WLAN card.
- Remove the WWAN card.
- Remove the display assembly.
- To remove the touch display panel:
- Use a plastic scribe to loosen the edges of the display panel.
- Flip the display screen over from the top.
- Peel the adhesive tape [1], Mylar shield [2].
- Release the latch [3], and disconnect the eDP cable [4].
- Peel the adhesive tape [5], and disconnect the IR cable [6].
- Use a plastic scribe to loosen the edges of the display panel.
- Remove the display bezel from the display assembly.
