Microsoft DPM 2012
We are looking to install Microsoft DPM across two local sites. We would like to know if Dell can provide a storage which can do deduplication of backed up data between the two.
We were thinking of DR4100, but was told that this does not support the raw format which is used by MS DPM.
Any suggestions?

Hello Latif,
The DR4100 will do file level deduplication as CIFS,NFS & OST. What I can suggest is that if you were looking at the DR4100 that you can look into using one of our backup software like NetVault, vRanger, AppAssure V4.X, CommVault Simpana, Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec NetBackup, Networker, Veeam, TSM, Arcserve, Oracle RMAN as these softwares have been tested to work with the DR4100. I am not sure if DPM 2012 will be added to the list or not.
