would'nt vista 64bit be the same as win7 64bit? And Vista 32bit is the same as Win7 32bit?

You have one of the following in your system:

ATI FireGL or nVidia Quadro FX

Yes they do at times and can you send me a screen shot of your device manager with the display adapters open please like this and I need a hardware code like this:

this one is from my laptop yours will say somehting different.

ok then right click the hardware device that is there like mien is "mobile Intel 4...." right click, properties, details, then scroll down to Hardware ID is second option under the scroll, what is all those numbers?

Like these:

I will use those numbers to tell you what device you have on system and direct you to the right driver.

Thank you for your info and time, I was unable to give you a fix for the driver issue and I apologize for giving you a hardware sales pitch.

I have exhausted my resources and all I can leave you with is Nvidia update, they will inform you of a driver development as it rolls out.

And I hope you take getting a "video card" into consideration. If you need any assistance with choosing a Graphics Card, come back and ask there are a lot of knowledgeful people here to help.

Thank you

It is one Nvidia hardware: Generic VGA Driver

NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0110

Looking for driver............No longer supported

Must upgrade, that generic driver you have in there is it.

We need to find you a suitable replacement card to bypass VGA.

NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0110

Which is not even Directx 9 so there are no VISTA or WIN7 drivers.

Geforce2 is over 10 years old.

Last drivers I recall were 56.72 WHQL

Suitable card is not very expensive.
