Hi Sanaa

It would be more easier to place the card in monitor mode when using Linux, when it comes to windows you need specific drivers for specific wireless cards and again the software required to put the card into monitor mode.

And most of the drivers and NOT compatible with windows 7 (def not 64bit).

I use linux (Ubuntu) to use the monitor mode feature of the wireless card.

Wireshark works perfectly with Windows :). No differences when using wireshark.

one more question

i'm planning to use wireshark for packet sniffing.Are there many differences when using that software with Ubuntu instead of windows?
