Sleep Mode Startup Glitch

So I've had my laptop for a while and it worked amazingly... until a few days ago. Whenever I put it in sleep mode and woke it up, it would go into the picture below. I have to completely shut it off and restart the computer every time it goes to sleep which is quite annoying. I have tried restore points, and even reset my entire computer (where it keeps your files but deletes your applications), which actually fixed it for two sleep modes but then it reverted back to this screen. I have tried everything I could and have contacted multiple Dell agents who were very kind, but didn't help me. P.S if I plug it into an hdmi cable and then unplug it, it fixes it. Very strange. Here are my specs

*Picture too big, very similar to this link except it looks more like vertical blue and green lines.

There are a couple  of things I would like to ask.

You show the Boot Device as \Device\HarddiskVolume1 so I was wondering if you knew why that partition is being used?  If you aren't sure, you might supply a snipping tool picture of your Disk Management window.

I am showing an info entry on msinfo32.exe of  "Virtualization based Security   Not Enabled".  I do not know what it is for but have you made alterations to your system and modified the boot configuration?

You may have noticed there are several other folks with your situation.  Some of them think it might be a Bios update problem, but it looks like you are still using the original Bios.  I was using the next to newest and upgraded to the newest and had no problems with either.  I have a 4k display and 16 GB of memory.  I have updated to the Fall Creator's Build, also.

Thank Christ! I have had exactly the same problem, and for a similar period of time, and I have been at my wits end with this!

The only thing that I have found that will fix this is a forced shutdown (ie: holding the power button for 5 seconds) & restarting.

Hi Ben-P-Leda,

Thanks for posting.

Apologies that your system isn't working as expected.  I don't see the model number of your computer in the post, but I'll assume that if you have the Inspiron 7467/7567.  If so, Installing the previous version of the drivers 21.20.16.4727, A03 is resolving the issue.
