Studio 1555 Processor T6600 and T6670

Hello,

I currently have a Dell Studio 1555 with Intel T6600 processor. This processor doesn't support VT. T6670 in same T6000 family has hardware Virtualization option enabled. I need this option to be able to make use of VMware or Virtual Sever 2005 or Virtual PC or Virtual Box to be able to have 64-Bit Guest operating systems. Could any one please let me know whether I can safely replace T6600 with T6670( as Socket layout, technology etc are same and don't have to replace motherboard) ?

I am not sure if Dell supports this configuration or if anyone know about any known issues with this configuration.
