Dell 2330d driver for Snow Leopard?
Hi,
I just upgraded to Snow Leopard. However, my Dell 2330d printer has been unable to print since the upgrade.
I have tried the suggested solution by clefmeister in the thread Dell 5100cn Snow Leopard Driver and installed Rosetta in the optional install folder on the 10.6 install disc, and then add the printer again, (and the driver) but this does not solve the issue. I keep getting the same error message:
Error: /Library/Printers/Dell/filter/psoptionreroute failed
Printer info:
Dell 2330d Laser Printer
usb://Dell/Dell%202330d%20Laser%20Printer?serial=721037V
Driver Version: 1.0.0
Snow Leopard version:
Mac OS X 10.6 (10A432)
Is there a way to solve this issue? I really like this printer - the generic Postscript is very minimal.

I've got this problem too. Anyone have any idea as to when they might release drivers?

The following fix worked for me:
Open Terminal and type the following commands:
cd /Library/Printers/Dell/filter
ln -s pstopsprinter1 pstopsprinter
(Explanation: the pstopsprinter misteriously disappeared when installing Snow Leopard. I supposed pstopsprinter1 does about the same, so I made a symlink. Until now it works... it you have the original pstopsprinter file in your Time Machine, it's maybe safer to get it from there)
Cheers,

I'm having luck using the Lexmark E360dn driver that came with Snow Leopard for my Dell 2330dn; it seems likely that the E360d driver will work for the Dell 2330d. I suspect these Dell models bear a strong family resemblance to the Lexmarks. Two-sided printing, second tray, manual feed all work fine.
