PAPER FEEDS IN CROOKED

MY PAPER WILL NOT GO IN STRAIGHT, IT KEEPS LEANING TO THE RIGHT AND THEN CAUSE A PAPER JAM. I TALKED TO A TECH SUPPORT PERSON TRY THE TEST SHE SAID TO TRY AND THEN SHE SAYS "WELL YOUR PRINTER IS NO GOOD, YOU HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE" DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO ANYONE? IT WAS PRINTING FINE YESTERDAY, EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE IT DOES THIS, SCANNING AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS FINE. DO YOU THINK I NEED TO BUY A NEW ONE JUST BECAUSE THE PAPER KEEPS JAMMING. DOES ANYONE NO WHAT ELSE I CAN DO?

THUMBS DOWN FOR DELL!

So I just got passed around the "customer service" line until I got to printer services. He asked me what was wrong, I told him my printer wasn't printing straight- that it was printing WAY off the labels I was trying to print on- and he says it is a software issue and transfered me again. When I get software this lady tells me that I will have to pay for advice ($59.99 per issue)! I said to the lady that I hadn't even had the printer for a year and that I have only ordered ink twice so why am I paying to ask why it is'nt working??!!! She said "sorry" but that is what they do in the SOFTWARE area of service.

Good luck to you on this, I am extremely disappointed in Dell and doubt that I will order much from them after I get this computer paid for. Too bad.

Not only did my paper feed in crooked, special paper for printing stamps online fed in crooked, jammed, and I couldn't reprint, so I lost a lot of money.  The print on the page is not clear either, and the letters are slightly cut off on the top and the bottom.  PS - Dell already sent me one replacement printer, but it is a generic problem.  I have been very frustrated with this printer, not least because it ONLY uses ink you can ONLY order from Dell.  I finally got my four year old HP printer out and it works much better, faster, and the paper doesn't jam.  Good thing I got the printer free from Dell when I bought the computer!

Glad you had a back up and lucky that you didn't pay. I unfortunately fell short on both ends! Ugghh. Yeah, this printer is not good at all and unfortunately I haven't finished paying for the thing yet and Dell isn't helping.....

I am going to print from somewhere else and am chucking this thing when I am done and never going through Dell again. What a huge bummer!!! womansad:

Good luck to anyone else who has one!:

Have two Del 720 printers (one is a replacement) all (3) have problem with paper feed. Paper feeds crooked, bottom right corner pulls in faster than rest of sheet.1/4 to 3/8 inch out of alignment. Problem was apparent right out of the box. Dell sent a replacement for first one. Looks like paper feed roller(there's only one and it's on the right side of the printer paper tray)is the problem in that the entire page isn't feeding evenly when the paper first loads into the print mechanism.
I don't want to go into them with a screwdriver yet since they're still under warranty.
The "offshore technical support experts" were as difficult for me to understand as they were in understanding me and/or the problem.

Anyone out there have same problem (I mean the printer problem not the offshore one.)?

I  have been experiencing the same problem, and it seems as if all Dell wants to do get me to buy a new one.  Unfortunately my printer is a A940 and its 2years old and the warranty is out, but it was working fine up until about a two weeks ago.  The paper goes in at an angle, gets stuck then it causes a paper jam or it says that there is no paper and I need to reload.  No matter how little paper or if its just at the max it will still do the same thing.  I'm trying to avoid buying another one, but it looks like that is what I will have to do.

Don't buy a new one from Dell!

They are absolutely NO help when it comes to problems like this. Yes, they tried to get me to spend more money to fix their faulty printer also! I have only had the thing for about 6 months. Why do they keep selling out this junk?

Anyone try their small location stores yet?

Good luck...

I too am having paper feed problems on my aio920!!! Have had it just over a year with no problems, recently put in new ink cartridge with no problem. Then yesterday went to print and paper would not feed correctly, pulls to the right. I don't get it! I'm using the same paper, nothing has changed, it worked fine just a few days ago!!! I thought I was being smart by bying DELL products, but now I'm not so sure!!

If anyone finds a solution to this problem please let me know! I do my banking online and can't print my statements....I'm desperate!!!!!!!

iI can't believe how many people are having this problem. My printer is only 9 months old.  I got it free with the computer.  No wonder they give this junk out free!  It's not worth a dime.  Can anyone suggest a good copier scanner printer that's good to use with my Dell dimension 3000 that won't break the bank?
