Ejecting a CD/DVD?

Hello Support,

I cannot eject a CD from my Studio 1735 notebook.  Every time I enter the "Computer" folder, the computer stalls and doesn't display any of the icons that normally show for my computer, hard drives and CD/DVD drive.  Pressing the eject button at the top doesn't seem to work.  When I try find the CD/DVD details by activating the control panel, I get the same stalling.  Is there an eject key or function that will always eject a disk?
