HDD for Inspiron 3800

I have recently acquired a Dell Inspiron 3800 and would like to replace the 5gb HDD. I understand it uses ATA-5 interface? I'm unable to find a drive to match. The closest I can see is this drive, an ATA-100, and was wondering if it would work? Here is the new drive: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=26378186008&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3NwZWNpZmljYXRpb25z&product_uid=87665

Hi - I would like to do exactly the same thing with my Inspiron 3800 - replace the 5gb HDD.  Were you successful with this replacement drive?  That model drive is not available any more, but ebuyer recommended this 80gb drive as an alternative: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/108782

Would anyone know if this would work for me? I have never attempted to upgrade a HDD before and I don't want to fork out £60 for something that might not work.
