New SSD

I just installed a Kingston 240GB SSD in my Alienware Aurora R4 and have a couple questions. I am using Windows 7 and verified trim is enabled. I turned off auto defrag in Windows and disk optimization in Norton 360. Is there anything else a person needs to do?. This is my first SSD so really don't know what to look for.

Thanks

Thank you Rajath N for your reply and that link, excellent information. Some things had already been done, but will do the other tweaks today. I don't turn my computer off at night and noticed there was 66.1 GB of free space last night, this morning there is 66.6 GB of free space so something cleaned up half a GB of space which is similar to what I gained when I ran disk cleanup on the 1T drive.

Thanks again.

Hi Wayne,

I appreciate your efforts to enable Trim, disabling defrag in Norton 360 and your interest to maximize the life of the SSD drive. Please visit the following link that has additional information on how to maximize the life of the SSD:
