XPS 8700 - 4TB Hard Drive - WIndows 10 - Driver Install Issue

This is strange but perhaps someone else has seen this as well...

XPS8700 doing a clean install of Windows 10 on an XPS8700 with the factory 1TB as drive C.

Additional Drives are the CDROM drive and a new HGST 4TB drive.

I downloaded drivers to the 4TB drive. ALL drivers have the same issue:
IF from the 4TB drive I click on the driver executable, the decompress and run fails EVERY time, EVERY driver so far up to the video driver.

IF I copy the driver file to the 1TB OS drive (desktop) and click on it.... IT WORKS.

What gives?

Anyone know?

Thanks!

Hello!  If memory serves me correctly, the XPS 8700 BIOS cannot fully read the 4tb drive as one whole drive, thus you have to partition it into 2 smaller drives.  Try partitioning the drive into 2, 2TB paritions and see if that helps.  I think the max for a lot of computers is 3TB?
